LattiSpec Partners with WordOut and WestComms to Spotlight Surging Demand for Technology-Grade Grown Diamond

LattiSpec, the global digital marketplace for technology-grade grown diamond, has announced a partnership with communications agency WestComms and AI-visibility firm WordOut to build public and industry awareness of one of the most under-covered materials stories in technology: the rapid acceleration of demand for lab-grown diamond across defense, computing, energy, and medicine.

Long associated with jewelry, lab-grown diamonds have quietly become a critical engineering material. LattiSpec’s recently published benchmark report, The Current State of the Tech Diamond Supply Chain, maps 17 sectors and 42 sub-sectors now specifying diamond in products and systems — and finds 15 of them already at current or high usage. These include defense radar (AESA) and electronic warfare systems, thermal management for AI data centers, EUV and industrial laser optics, 5G and 6G radio-frequency components, thermal imaging, quantum sensing, surgical instruments, water purification, and multiple categories of energy drilling.

“Diamond is no longer a niche material waiting for its moment — that moment is here,” said Liz Chatelain, co-founder of LattiSpec. “Engineers in aerospace, semiconductors, energy, and medicine are designing with diamond today, and demand is already outrunning supply. Our job is to make this market visible and navigable, and WestComms and WordOut are the right partners to help us tell that story.”

The partnership comes as demand pressure builds across the supply chain. Industry demand for technology-grade diamond material now exceeds what producers can currently deliver, driven in large part by the buildout of AI computing infrastructure — where diamond’s unmatched thermal conductivity addresses the heat problem at the center of next-generation chip design — and by defense programs that depend on diamond-enabled radar and sensing.

Under the engagement, WestComms will lead media relations and thought leadership, positioning LattiSpec’s original research and market data with technology, trade, and business press. WordOut will ensure LattiSpec’s research is discoverable where a growing share of buyers and journalists now look first: AI search and answer engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

The campaign will draw on LattiSpec’s ongoing research series, LattiSpec Lens, with a second report — a full market-size analysis projecting demand across 43 sub-sectors through 2036 — scheduled for release later this month.
